Beginners may want to heading to the north facing nursery slopes in Hinterglemm as their aspect means they’re usally  less crowded and there’s  plenty of blues to move onto. Many of the other pistes are south facing so can suffer from poorer snow conditions as spring approaches despite good snowmaking facilities.

Essentially a hotel half board resort with few chalets, visitors enjoy the varied mountain restaurants, local cuisine and a spot of sunbathing at lunchtime before heading down to enjoy active après ski in the local bars and clubs where loud music until early hours of the morning is the norm.  The area has an exuberant après-ski party atmosphere that lives on late into the night, the focus of which is concentrated along the village’s main street.

If you’re after a good time, this is a good place to head, but it might just be worthwhile keeping an eye on the snow reports before booking.
