Les Carroz - France

A traditional Savoyard village on a sunny plateau less than an hour from Geneva. With the range of low cost airlines to choose from and good transfer options this makes for a good budget option. Ideal for a weekend or longer, with large interlinked ski area with access to high altitude skiing in Flaine. Variety of great runs with all abilities catered for.

Les Carroz if the first ski resort that you will see when driving from Geneva to the French Alps. The village recently celebrated its 70th anniversary as a ski station and is year round home to 1700 inhabitants which provide a true working resort feeling.  You can access Grand Massif, 265km of skiing comprising four resorts - Morillon, Samoens, Sixt and Flaine.  Les Carroz has a fantastic snow record even though it sits at only 1200m, it's proximity to Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc creats a snowy mirco climate. Not known for it's apres-ski, however if you get the timing right, you can catch some great bands at the Point Noire.
