In the UK

Kate Whittaker - Managing directorKate Whittaker

Kate is the founder and owner of Mad Dog Ski. After a career in the City she swapped commuting for chairlifts and spent two seasons in the Three Valleys in search of the perfect vin chaud. Mad Dog was born out of her passion for all things snowy and her desire to make the most of every minute on the mountain. Kate gets involved in as many aspects of Mad Dog as possible but, for some reason, particularly likes researching new resorts.

Liam Miller - Head of marketing and salesLiam Miller

Liam is new to us from the land down under. Contrary to popular belief it does snow in Australia and Liam learnt to ski at the age of six. After many a trip to the Snowy Mountains and a semester spent studying in Vancouver (aka skiing at Whistler) he was elected ski club president at his university. In his final year of university Liam started a marketing business which grew significantly over the three years he was at the reins before travelling the depths of South America and arriving on our doorstep.

Ben Patterson - Head of onlineBen Patterson

Ben joined the Mad Dog team in 2008, transferring a decade in the web design and development game into his current role. He now runs the digital and online affairs on the Mad Dog Ski website, as well as producing photography and video. Although Ben grew up skiing and has been seen in snowboarding gear more recently, he still calls himself a "surfer".

Tory Dean - EditorialTory Dean

Although her background is in law, Tory Dean has loved skiing since she was a teenager and has loved this change in career. She has skied in America and Chile, as well as extensively in Europe. Tory has been working for Mad Dog Ski since September 2004. She has a predominantly editorial role.

Liz Woods - Office managerLiz Woods

Liz joined the team in 2005 and is a new but enthusiastic convert to skiing. Liz is in charge of despatch and accounts.

Ed Drake - bloggerEd Drake

Ed Drake, a member of the British Alpine Ski Team, is 21 and from Kingston in Surrey. Usually found living out of a suitcase somewhere in the mountains of Europe where he races for Britain, he learnt to ski around three years of age. Jan-Erik Paul
- Les ArcsLes Arcs - Jan-Erik Paul

After taking up snowboarding 10 years ago to get his ‘extreme’ fix in the winter, Jan-Erik Paul has been doing seasons across the world for the past 5 years (including La Plagne, Whistler, Serre Chevalier & Finland) when his body’s not been ‘in recovery’. When there is no snow, JP can be found either on the water kiteboarding or in the office running E-creation.co.uk, a multimedia & creative agency in Bournemouth. This season, JP will be based in Vallandry, splitting his riding between Les Arcs & La Plagne.

Josh Cohen - VerbierVerbier - Josh Cohen

Josh began by racing Ottawa’s ski hills from nine to 19 years old, and quickly moved out to Whistler, BC where he worked at Surefoot learning the expertise of bootfitting. The big mountains proved to be his true calling, and after three years of Whistler’s pow, (just to be sure) Josh travelled throughout the Middle East, Europe, and East Asia, landing in Australia to open a Surefoot store. Next stop: Verbier to open yet another store and take advantage of the Alps’ endless backcountry.
